Local Happenings

I’ve quit my regular job to work full-time on my books, but I’ve found that I need at least a part-time job to make ends meet. I applied for a position with one of the local printers. I’m hoping to do desktop publishing with them, but to be honest, I’d probably take any position I can get.

This particular printer is on the list for publishing my writers’ group anthology, hopefully coming out this year. If I can learn pagination properly, I could print the anthology out myself (at less cost) and get them to staple it together. I’d need them to laminate the covers, though. I don’t have a machine for that, nor do I have it in the budget to pick one up for a one-time job. If we get a few more members to the group, then maybe we can make this a yearly thing. I’m not sure.
