Never Give A Writer…

An idea at 5 in the morning. I woke up this morning (after 2 hours of sleep) with a strong desire to pee and a glimmer of an idea. The only problem is, I was at a friend’s place and didn’t know where the light switch was. I found my way to the bathroom okay, but writing anything was going to be a pain. My friend has a gecko, complete with ever-on lamp. There was enough light from it to see to write, but not enough to see the lines on the page.

All-in-all, I did okay keeping my lines straight and I can read my handwriting in the daylight. I managed to write two and a half pages of the story before I got caught. My friend came out of her room to find me busily scribbling down the story. When asked why I didn’t turn a light on, I pointed out that I didn’t know where the switches were. She showed me and gave me heck for, effectively, writing in the dark.

I managed to get most of the idea down on paper before leaving her place. Once I get done here, I’ll go back to it and see how much is usable.

Keep on writing!
