I finally sat down and did some writing today. I hate writing scenes where I’d get bored if I were in them. Take court cases, for example. I don’t have the patience to sit still for hours of explanation and evidence. I want everything in a nutshell. It’s a nice idea, but it makes writing court scenes hard for me. I have trouble remembering what I need to include and what can stay in my head.
On the plus side, because I have trouble sitting still for a long, drawn-out court battle, I tend to write them short and to the point. I’ll find out what I’ve missed when I do my editing. I have the bare bones of the scene down and that’s all that matters for now.
