Index cards, yes or no?
I use index cards to sort out my chapters/scenes, sometimes before I write them, sometimes after. I can move the ‘scenes’ around easier, see what’s been done at which point in the story. Index cards are also great for jotting down story ideas. I can flesh them out a bit without having to write a full story just yet.
How do you organize your notes? Do you take notes before or during the writing process? Are index cards passe or are they miniature storyboards to help you complete a timeline?
