I’ve been writing short stories for a while now, just because I can. Well, I can for the most part. Thirty-three thousand words isn’t quite a short story, but that’s because Rigger Mortis wasn’t designed to be a short story.
Having said that, I had no clue as to the length of the stories. The writers’ group I belong to is looking to publish an anthology of short stories and I wasn’t sure which ones of mine qualified. I made a list of the filenames, the titles, word counts and pages in a given format. I will have to add a few stories, once I get them into the computer, but that’s okay. I have a start that I can cross-reference later to various submissions and dates.
Now all we have to do is figure out which stories need to go into the anthology and how long we want the book to be.
